On Tuesday we continued learning all about the letter Qq and quilts. We had a great time making our class quilt! We talked about how quilts are unique blankets that tell a story. Our quilt is very special because it tells the story about our classroom. Each child got their own square of fabric to put their hand print on. I tied them all together with ribbon and hung it on our wall in the library. They love going over and admiring our new quilt!
Q is for quail and a quilt for your bed
Q is for queen, with a crown on her head
Q is for quack and a quarter to spend
Q is for quarrel you have with a friend
Hooray for Q big and small-
the quaintest, quirkiest letter of all!
With our hands we made this quilt,
We each made a special part,
To show you the friendships that we share,
Warms each little heart!
